Dance and Piano Recital

On Dec. 10th Kyah had her very first dance recital. She looked like such a big girl and was so very cute!! She loved taking dance this fall. It was especially fun because she got to take the class with two of her second cousins, Amy and Samantha. All the girls were so cute! Taking a final curtsy. We had everyone come over to our house after Kyah's recital so Gage could have his very first piano recital. He played five songs and did great! The last two songs were Christmas duets that he played with his teacher. He did so great. He really progressing nicely.

Welcome Home!

Jeff came home from Basic Training today. He gets a couple weeks off for Christmas and then will go back to finish up. The kids and Jana were so excited to get to see Jeff! They are one big happy family. It was fun to see! And Jeff looks great!! It may be the most fit I've ever seen him! Just as a side note, Jeff thinks he has a great looking bald head and isn't going to let his hair grow out anytime soon! Ha. Welcome home buddy!

After yummy lunch at P.F. Changs!

Santa Baby

Kyah and I took a field trip with her preschool to the festival of trees. We got our pictures taken with Santa. :) Unfortunately, Gage was in school.

As you can see, Kyah was being a little shy with Santa. She eventually told him she wanted Baby Achoo for Christmas.

Thanksgiving 2009

We started out the morning with a kids race. They had a great time!

Then we hosted Thanksgiving here. It was so fun. We had some of my family, and some of Nates. We had 22 altogether. It was an extra special treat for the kids to have their cousins here! And for me to have Jana! I had such good help! We ate tons and played games. It was a great day.

Quote from Gage

"Momma, I love you so much I could just spend hours with you!"

Does life get any better than that? I don't think so.

For the record Gage, I love you so much too and could spend hours with you!

Halloween Part 2.

Nate and I went to a Halloween party on Friday night and dressed up. I was the swine flu and Nate was a whoopee cushion, complete with a hand held farfignoog machine!

We are super classy!

Halloween 2009

We had a fun Halloween this year. The kids trick or treated over to Grandmas and then had doughnuts and cider. While we were out, Gage kept telling us he was done trick or treating. I knew he just wanted some candy. So I told him to pick out a candy and eat it. He absolutely REFUSED because he saw a movie at school where they gave safety rules for Halloween. One rule was that you could not eat any candy until you got home. And Gage is a big time rule follower. Such a funny guy.

Gage in the Halloween parade at school.

Broom treat bags I made for Gage's class party. I was channeling Martha.

Hee Haw Farm

Both kids had field trips to Hee Haw Farm. I went with both of them. We had lots of fun.

Gage's first bus ride. On a hay ride. Making a corn angel.
