Soccer Videos: Jumping and more Jumping

I promised my brother TJ I would post videos of Gage's soccer game. I know that if Teege lived here, he would be at every game. That's the kind of Uncle he is. (I'm sure all my other brother's would be there too). Gage is on the red team. He is number 14. He is on the left at the start of the first video. Just look for the kids who runs/hops around with a perma-grin. Oh and in the first video, he loses a shoe at the end.

More Craftiness: Hair Clips

So I have also been busy making new hair bows and flower clips to put into Kyah hair. She has been in heaven with her new accessories!! Every morning I show her the new bows and then she tells me I'm amazing. It's pretty cute. Today she is sporting the red bows. Here's a little look at part of our new collection.

Tutu Frenzie

In all my craftiness lately, I made Kyah's a couple of tutus. Then of course I had to buy her a leotard (Kyah calls it a ballerina-tard) so she wasn't flashing everyone her undies under her tutu. She refuses to wear the tutu with pants. She is so funny running around dancing all the time. She is so girly.

Lean Mean Soccer Machine

Gage had his first soccer practice today. It was very fun to watch. I have to admit I am one proud momma watching Gage play. Here are some video clips and pictures.
Before we left for practice.

Warming up before practice started.

Dribbling from one end of the field to the other.

Having a scrimmage at the end of practice.

After practice, sporting his new uniform shirt.

Practicing at home with Kyah. Someone needs to tell our ballerina soccer princess there is no crying in soccer.

My Future Police Officer

I've always said that Gage has a future in law enforcement because he is soooooooo concerned with what's right and wrong. He NEVER breaks rules. I was in my bedroom today while the kids were eating lunch and this is the conversation I heard. Too funny.

Kyah: (Fake burping while eating lunch.)

Gage: Is that very appropriate??

Kyah: (Silence)

Gage: Is that very appropriate??????

Kyah: Are you telling on me?

Gage: Next time you do that I will.

Getting in Tune With My Crafty Side

I went to a Trendy Baby Craft Night the other night at BYU. I have never sewed before in my life, but learned how that night and sewed myself some baby things. They are not perfect by any means, but I'm still proud. I made a diaper pouch, changing pad, and hooter hider(nursing cover)ha. Here are some pictures of my first sewing adventures.

Diaper Pouch

A diaper changing pad.

Changing pad opened up.

This is a nursing cover.

P.S. I'm not making an announcement. I just realized that what this post seems like.

Life With a Five Year Old

Gage didn't have school on Monday. Sunday he says to me, "Momma, you know what my favorite part of school is?" And I ask him what. Then he replies, "Days off."

The other day Gage and Kyah were eating dinner and I ran to our basement neighbors to borrow a pan for brownies. When I came back in the front door I heard Gage say to Kyah, "The Whale is back."

WHAT???
