Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween! We went to a Halloween party in the morning with our music class kids, then we went and trick or treated at Nate's work, then we went to our carnival/trunk or treat at the church. Kyah was Tinkerbell, Gage was Peter Pan, and

Our friend from music class.

Good Company and a Busy Weekend

Nate's Mom and Sister came and visited us over the weekend. The kids were soooooo excited to have Grandma and Aunt Anne here! We had a good weekend carving pumpkins, decorating cookies, reading books, playing with toys, watching videos, playing our new Wii, and having our primary program. Here are some pics.

Thanks Grandma and Aunt Anne for coming to visit us!

Don't Hate Me Because Martha Stewart and I Could Be Related

I made these spider treats for playschool today.

TRUTH TIME: Don't be impressed, I saw these in a book. I don't have one ounce of creativity in my body!

Fun Trip: Part 2

Saturday was the day of the big game. Easter vs. BYU. But before the game we had a little activity planned. We rented three tandem bikes and rode through campus with out EWU gear on. My Uncle Doug was with my Grandma, Kylee and my mom rode together, and I started out with my cousin Shelby. We had a lot of fun. People on campus were very friendly to us as well. My Grandma was so funny. Her and Doug turned the bikes in a little early.

Then we got ready for the game and took some pre-game photos.

Sporting the actual jersey Rocky wore last season! So fun. I didn't even care that it made me look extra wide!

The game was crazy. At least the weather. It started out just sort of cold. Then it started raining, then snowing, then blizzard like conditions. Because I wanted to sport Beef Cake's jersey, I never did put my coat on. I did however put on a see-through rain coat/poncho thing. We froze our buns off. Rocky was a captain so that was cool. His team did not play very well however and they lost. Here are the pics.

The group. My brother, his wife Jana and their cutie pie kids, my cousin Karen, her husband and baby, Quinton and Riley(friends from WA), My Dad is cut out, mom of course, my sister, me, uncle Doug and Shelby. Other cousins came later.

Just before the kickoff.

Hello Freezing! Ya, I know, I look as big as a football player in this jersey! Also, I am a spitting image of my mother in this pic!! I can't get over it. (I don't mean that in a mean way)

Kylee did not want to put a beanie on because she would mess up the two buns in her hair.

How cute is this one of Kylee and Shelby.

Hello Blizzard. Did you notice my head at the bottom of this pic?

After the game.

We all went out to eat at Training Table.

Grace and Me and Josh's head. She really does love me. :)

Saturday was a fun day! I'm sure we'll talk about that game for the rest of our lives.

Fun Trip: Part One

I had a really good, fun trip to Utah. I have so many pictures to post that I'm going to it in parts.

I got in really late Thursday night, due to a small mistake on my part. :) So we basically went to WalMart, McDonald's, and then home to bed. On Friday, my mom insisted that we take some mother daughter photos. We obliged of course. Once we got in front of the camera there was no stopping us. You'll see what I mean. After that we went out to eat at Cafe Rio-my favorite-, then to the mall to visit Nate's family at Alyse's Bridal, then to SLC to visit Rocky at his hotel, and finally out bowling with Kylee, Uncle Doug, and cousin Brandon. Unfortunately I only have pics from the photo shoot. Bowling pictures would have been hilarious, but I didn't want to cart around my huge camera. This is exactly why I'm getting a cannon powershot for Christmas. (Did you get that Nate!) Anyway, Friday was fun, here are my pics.

For Laughs

Here is a preview of Saturday's game.

The most intense #1 I've ever seen. :) (I'm referring to Kylee)

One Down......

Nate submitted his application to the Yale School of Management today! YAY!!!!! I can not even tell you what a relief this is to me and even more so to Nate. Now we wait until January to hear back. One down, three to go!!

I Missed My Jet Plane....

I went to check my flight to make sure it was still on time today and the flight status said boarding! I couldn't believe my eyes. For some reason that I can only blame on stupidity, I thought my flight left at 4:05, but really it left at 2:05. YIKES! I must have looked at the info ten times between yesterday and today and every time I read it as 4:05. The good news is, I went to the airport, told the kind man that I was having a crisis and he put me on a later flight at no extra charge. PHEW! I almost missed my fun trip.

Only me.

I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane.....

In about 4 hours I will be on a plane headed to Salt Lake City.... with no kids and no husband. This is the big weekend that Rocky's football team, the Eastern Washington Eagles, will take on the Brigham Young University Cougars! I'm soooooo excited. I have Rocky's actual jersey from last year to wear! Isn't that great. It goes down almost to my knees, but whatever. It's so fun. My mom and Kimm are already in SLC and my Dad arrives tomorrow. My brother Jeff and his cute family are driving in the day of the game, and my cousins Karen and Grant, Joe, Cody, and Brandon are coming too. Yeah. We are going to cheer our hearts out. I love football! I feel a major upset coming on for BYU. What? I can't be optimistic. Anyway, there is a huge storm coming in today and the most powerful winds will be from 3pm to 7pm, ummmmmm my flight leaves at 4pm. Please pray for me and my plane. I get nervous about flying anyway and this is about more than I can handle! I'm taking my camera so I'll post pics on Monday when I get home, or Tuesday. See you then!

P.S. A special shout out to my fab husband who so kindly agreed to take two days off of work for me to do this! You're the best Nate.

P.S.S. For those of you who watch/listen to BYU games, my brother is number 77, plays on the offensive line, and his name is Rocky Hanni. You can cheer for him. :)

Pretty Girl's Two Year Portraits: Take 2

My first try was just before she was two years old. I wanted to take pictures in the same spot I did last year in my home town. It was not good timing. She was very tired and not feeling well, just before she got so sick, and wouldn't let me put her down. The only good pic I got that day was the one I posted on her birthday as her two year old pic. I knew I would try again. Then...

Kyah looked so cute in her dress after church yesterday that I decided it would be a good time to try and take some pictures of her that could work as her official two year portrait. I like them, but I don't love them. So I will probably try again sometime soon.....assuming the rain will stop. :) It was a little hard because like most two year olds, she is a runner.........

AND because her newest trick is to close her eyes when I point the camera at her.

But I did sneak a few with her eyes open.
