Tooth Trauma

Gage lost his very first tooth today!! I mean he is six years and nine months old! It's about time, right! Unfortunately this happened at school, which in itself wasn't bad, but then he literally lost his tooth at school. He says he lost it sometime during social studies. (The tooth came out of his mouth at lunch)

When I picked him up from school he was walking towards me slowly with his head down. I asked him what was wrong and then the waterworks started as he told me what happened. I assured him the toothfairy would still come. He was just mostly upset that he couldn't save it to show Aunt Lindsay- she's a dental hygienist.

Pictures of his cute little mug coming soon!

Life With a Six Year Old

Gage: Mom, I don't like Alyson anymore.

Me: Why not?

G: She runs away from me when we walk to school. I'm going to tell her today if she runs away from me again I'm not going to marry her. I'm going to marry Lindsay instead.

Then I made sure he knew he wasn't getting married until he was a grown up like Mom and Dad.

"Go Kick Some Honey Buns!"

This is what Kyah yelled to Nate as he was leaving to go to the airport today. He is off to compete in the Wake Forest 2010 Marketing Competition. I'm excited for this fun opportunity for Nate! He is in a team with 5 other members from BYU. Wake Forest selected 8 teams to compete. He's going up against teams from London, Spain, and other schools here in the U.S. Basically they give the teams a case and then they have 36 hours to work on it and turn it in. It's pretty intense. I'll let you know how it goes!

Go Nate!! I'm so proud of you!
'The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

My mom sent this quote to me in an email today. I thought it was a good reminder.
